চেয়েছিলাম হাজার হাজার তারা হয়ে তোমার বুকে বিচরণ করতে;

Plot – Praktan(Former) is basically about Ujaan Mukherjee and Sudipa who have gone through a marriage that did not work. And Sudipa finds herself in a spot of bother as she realizes that Malini and Putul are none other than Ujaan’s present wife and daughter. She becomes upset and clearly demonstrates that she has not forgiven Ujaan for whatever happened between them and seems to carry the burden of their memories. But, at the end of the film she understood her mistakes and Ujaan also realizes the mistakes whatever he had done with Sudipa. The film ended with a very nice song “Tumi Jake Bhalobaso”.
Review – The story of this film is very nice. Understanding is the main thing in Relationship. Without understanding, it is impossible to continue the relationship. In this film we have seen that the love story of Ujaan and Sudipa. Sudipa came from Mumbai to visit the City of Joy. Ujaan was the tour guide who described the beauty of the city in front of Sudipa and other women’s. In that time, love was created between Sudipa and Ujaan but after some months, this love has converted into doubt. This doubt had created a break up between them. Love was present between them but understanding was not present between them. In this film, we have also seen some very funny moments, like the one where the old lady complains to the railway attendant about the AC and other aspects in horrible Bengali mixed with Hindi as her husband humurously points out later. We have also seen the funny seen between Ajay and his wife. We have also listened the beautiful song “Kolkata” by Anupam Roy. Apart from the Antakshari sequence, there is hardly any interaction between the people on the coach. This film is basically the story of Ujaan and Sudipa and their failed relationship. Udita and Malini were Sudipa’s Copassenger firstly. Ujaan joins them at Nagpur. He was surprised to find sudipa in the same coupe. Firstly, Sudipa became very much disturbed after knowing the identity of Malini and Udita. But this 30 hours of the train journey has given a nice change in the mind of Sudipa. She realizes her mistakes. She realizes that understanding was not present between them. She got a chance to talk with Ujaan. They discussed about their present and past and they understood their mistakes. This situation changed the mind of Sudipa. She also realized her mistakes. But, at the near end of the story Malini understood that Sudipa was the first wife of Ujaan. But, for this reason, Malini did not ask anything to Ujaan. Because Understanding was present between them. Malini has disclosed to Sudipa that she understood everything. This was a nice gift of her birthday from Sudipa that she got Ujaan.
So, this film essentially the story of Ujaan and Sudipa and their failed relationship. Understanding is very essential in every relationship. If it is present, Relationship will be able continue. Otherwise, Prakton will repeat again and again. We have learnt how to be understandable, and how to overcome the hectic situations of life from this beautiful film.
Praktan is the film that I have seen more than 10 times. It is my favourite movie.
NOVEL REVIEW
Novel – Bindur Chele
Author – Sarat Chandra Chattapadhyaya
Characters – Jadab Mukherjee as Guardian of the family, Annapurna Mukherjee as Jadab’s wife, Madhab Mukherjee as Jadab’s brother, Bindubashini Mukherjee as Madhab’s wife, Amulya Charan Mukherjee as son of Jadab and Annapurna, Bhoirab as servant, Kadam as servant, koilash as Barber, Elokeshi as sister of Jadab and Madhab, Priyonath as husband of Elokeshi, Naren as son of Priyonath and Elokeshi.
Summary – The story revolves around three characters: Annapurna, Amulya and Bindubashini. Jadab goes through a lot of hardship to pay for his younger brother Madhab’s education. After some years, Madhab becomes an eminent lawyer. Madhab’s wife Bindubashini comes from an affluent family. She is strikingly beautiful. Bindu is childless and when she gets to take care of Amulya, her yearning to experience motherhood finds some fulfillment. We have also read the bittersweet relationship between Bindu, Annapurna, and Elokeshi. Bindu respects Annapurna but after some year, it reciprocates by showering a lot of affection on her. One day, Bindu becomes very angry over Annapurna. They have a major disagreement over Amulya’s upbringing. Bindu shows some bad behavior to Annapurna. Annapurna felt very sad and as a result, the two families split. But at the end of the story, twist comes. Bindu and Annapurna realizes their mistakes and they get back to as they were.
Review – Bindur Chele was published by Sarat Chandra Chattapadhyaya in the year 1913. It was about the story of two mothers of a Bengali Family. Annapurna was the mother of Amulya but Bindubashini got to take care of Amulya. So, Amulya had two mother. As Bindubashini got to take care of Amulya, she took the final decision about Amulya. Her decision was final. As she came from an affluent family, the other family members did not get confidence to communicate with her, except Annapurna and Jadab. Jadab called her “Maa”.He loved her so much. But after some years, when Elokeshi entered, some changes occur in the relationship between Bindu and Annapurna. Bindu took care of Amulya with nobleness and lots of love and gosh. Annapurna did not like that. This has also created misunderstanding between them.
But after some years, when Annapurna gave money to Amulya, Bindu got very angry and she told some offensive words to Annapurna. In this way, the two family splits.
After this, Bindu realizes her mistakes. She missed her Amulya. After some days, Bindu went to her parents house and she got very sick. When Annapurna, Jadab, and Amulya went to see Bindu, all realizes their mistakes and the story ended with with lots of understanding.
This story is my favourite because, this story is basically about two mothers. One mother gave birth and another mother took care of the child. So, both of the lady are mother. Even if the relation is not about the blood, one can be a mother. For that reason, Bindu could not take any offensive words that were said about Amulya. It is not necessary to have a blood relation to become a mother but it is necessary to have that motherhood.
We will overcome this hectic situation. India is our motherland. We have to co operate with each other to complete our mission, to make a disease free Country.
